Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of this website and any booking you make through it. By browsing the site or making a booking you accept them. Please read them before you pay.

1. Who you are contracting with

This website is operated by PT. Langkah Wisata Nusantara, trading as Ara Adventure. We arrange and sell travel products — boat trips, tours, transport and related services. Some of these are operated by us and some by partner operators. Where a trip is operated by a partner, we act as the agent that arranges and sells it, and the operator's own safety and operating rules apply on board and on the ground.

2. Prices and what they include

  • Prices are shown in the currency selected on the site and, unless stated otherwise, per person for shared (open trip) products and per boat or per vehicle for private charters.
  • What is and is not included is listed on each product page. That list is part of these Terms for the booking concerned.
  • National park entrance fees, ranger fees and local levies are charged separately unless the product page states that they are included. Ask us before you pay if this is not clear.
  • Prices can change until a booking is confirmed. The price in your booking confirmation is the one that applies.

3. Booking and payment

  • A booking exists only once we have confirmed it in writing. Submitting a form or starting a payment does not by itself create a booking.
  • Payment is taken through our payment provider. We do not receive your card details.
  • If payment is not completed within the time shown at checkout, the reservation may be released.
  • Please check the names, dates and contact details on your confirmation immediately. Corrections are far easier before departure than after.

4. Changes and cancellation

  • The cancellation and refund terms that apply to your booking are the ones shown on the product page and repeated in your booking confirmation. They differ between shared trips and private charters, and between operators.
  • Requests to change a date or transfer a booking to another person are subject to availability and to the operator's rules, and may carry a charge.
  • If we or the operator cancel a departure, you may choose an alternative date, an alternative trip of equal value, or a refund of the amount you paid us for that trip.
  • Refunds are returned by the same route the payment came in, and the payment provider's own processing time applies.

5. Weather, sea conditions and safety

Trips in this region depend on weather and sea conditions. The captain or guide may change a route, swap a destination, shorten an activity or cancel a departure when conditions require it. That decision is made for safety and is not negotiable. Where a departure is cancelled for this reason, clause 4 applies. Where a route is changed mid-trip, we are not able to refund the part of the itinerary that could not be completed for safety reasons, but we will always try to offer a reasonable alternative.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate names, ages and contact details. Wrong details can prevent boarding, and correcting them may cost money.
  • Arrive at the time and place stated. Departures wait for the schedule, not for late guests, and a missed departure is treated as a no-show.
  • Tell us before booking about any medical condition, pregnancy, allergy, dietary need, or limited mobility or swimming ability that could affect your safety or your participation.
  • Follow the instructions of the crew, guides and national park rangers, and respect the rules of the protected areas you visit — including keeping the required distance from wildlife.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended. It is your responsibility to arrange it.
  • Valid identification is your responsibility, as are any visa or entry requirements that apply to you.

7. Liability

We are responsible for arranging the services described in your booking confirmation with reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control — weather, sea conditions, natural events, epidemic, strike, official decisions, transport disruption or the acts of third parties — nor for losses arising from your own failure to follow safety instructions or to provide accurate information. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indonesian law.

8. Content on this site

Photographs, itineraries, text and other material on this site belong to us or to our partners and may not be copied or republished without permission. Photographs are indicative of the experience; boats, cabins and scenery may differ from the images shown.

9. Reviews and submissions

What you post must be your own and must be about an experience you actually had. We may remove content that is abusive, misleading, unlawful, or that publishes someone else's personal data. By posting, you allow us to display your review on this site.

10. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell the crew or guide during the trip so that it can be put right while it still can. If it cannot be resolved there, contact us using the details below and describe what happened, with the booking reference.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. We will try to settle any dispute with you directly first; if that fails, it is submitted to the competent Indonesian courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when the booking was confirmed.
